Chegou o fim do Firebird 2.5

Ontem foi lançado o Firebird 2.5.9 chegando assim ao fim da vida útil do Firebird 2.5.
Será bom atualizar para o Firebird 3.
Informo que uso o Firebird 3.04 há um tempo com o Scriptcase com sucesso.

"Firebird 2.5.9 sub-release is available

The Firebird Project is happy to announce the general availability of Firebird 2.5.9 — the last minor release in the Firebird 2.5 series.

This sub-release introduces several bug fixes and a few improvements, please refer to the Release Notes for the full list of changes. Binary kits for Windows, Linux and MacOS X (both 32-bit and 64-bit) are immediately available for download.

Also, in accordance with its release lifetime policy, the Firebird Project advises that the Firebird v2.5 series has reached its end-of-life and thus will not be maintained further. Once Firebird 4.0 is released, this last official release in the v.2.5 series, Firebird 2.5.9, will be moved to the “Discontinued Versions” section of the download area ."

Vi que usa o ISPconfig… você gerencia o firebird com algum gerenciador, pois o ispconfig não faz isto… ou simplesmente deixa o firebird ele instalado e o usuário cria o banco que quiser da forma desejada?

Eu instalo uma instância do Firebird para cada usuário.
Cada usuário tem um Firebird separado com sua própria porta de acesso e SYSDBA.
Tudo isolado por usuário.
Os usuários podem usar o software que for mais conveniente para gerenciar a instância dele.
Exemplo: criar usuários, bancos e etc.
Faço a mesma coisa com o Postgresql.
Cada usuário tem sua instância de Postgresql com portas diferentes e cada um com seu usuário postgres.
